Course Overview
The Vertica Essentials course covers the architecture and capabilities of Vertica Analytics in Enterprise mode. This course is a prerequisite to all advanced courses and will prepare you for the operational success of your deployment.

Prerequisites
To be successful in this course, you should have the following prerequisites or knowledge:
- Knowledge of RDBMS concepts (understanding databases and schemas, database normalization, etc.)
- Familiarity with basic SQL syntax, ability to troubleshoot syntax errors, etc.
- Experience with the Linux operating system (how to change directories, list directory contents, view and edit files, etc.)
